Man Charged With Sexual Exploitation of Children

Twenty-one counts of sexual exploitation of children have been filed against Jasper County resident Cody Sanford Campbell. These charges were filed after suspected child pornography videos, more than 350 child pornography pictures and more than 8,000 pictures of what would be considered child erotica type pictures were recovered from Mr. Campbell’s two computers and external hard drive, according to information on the warrant taken by Jasper County investigators.

Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) originally arrested Mr. Campbell several weeks ago on a warrant of child molestation out of South Carolina, however before he could be extradited, Butts County produced warrants on him for similar charges and he was transferred there, where he still remains under a $75,000 bond. If the bond was met, rather than being released, an immediate hearing would be held on extradition to South Carolina.
