Leonard Cargile
Leonard Cargile, 83, of Jackson, died June 2 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Forsyth.
Mr. Cargile was retired from the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center in accounting in 1993. After retirement he was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Grady and Ethel Digby Cargile and loving friend of 32 years, Mary Pauline “Polly” England of Cumming who died in May. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Cargile of Jackson, Miss., and sisters, Jeanette Sumners of Jackson, Miss., and Joanne Cargile of Monticello.
Survivors include his brother, Grady Cargile of Covington, sisters Linda Watkins of Jackson, Rebecca Frakes of Midland City, Ala., and Pataricia Ferris of Lawrenceville, and a number of other relatives and inlaws.
Visitation is planned for Thursday, June 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sherrell Wilson Mangham Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Sherrell Wilson Mangham Funera Home with Dr. C. Lane Jenkins officiating; burial will be at the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mansafield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery fund, 84 Barnes Mountain Road, Mansfield, GA 30055.
