Lady ‘Cane Golf Season Ends

The team of Jessica Massey and Scottiann Cummings traveled to Reidsville on May 4, and teed off at Brazell’s Creek State Golf Course.

The pair earned a trip to the state tournament by winning second place in their region, and by Ms. Massey being the low medalist in the region tournament.

Out of a total of 56 golfers, individually, Ms. Massey shot a 105 to finish in 29th place. The low medalist, out of Greater Atlanta Christian, shot a three under par 69.

As a team, the Lady ‘Canes finished well back from Blessed Trinity, who won with a score of 158.

Miss Massey and Miss Cummings are both sophomores and Head Golf Coach Matt Tumlin expects the team to excel next year.
