Wilbur Junice McElheney
Wilbur Junice McElheney died Sunday, May 3, at the Retreat Nursing Home.
Wilbur McElheney was born in Jasper County to the late Homer and Myrtle McElheney. He lived in Eatonton about twenty years before returning to Jasper County. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Eatonton. He retired from the Aluminum Plant in Eatonton. Wife, Alice Harrell McElheney; brothers, Earl McElheney, and Howell McElheney; and sisters, Sarah Tillman, and Billie Jean Minter, all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his step-children, Charlene Lott of Atlanta and Dale Harrell of Eatonton; sisters and brother, Mildred Kelly of Monticello, Carolyn Rowe of Jackson, Nell Hayes and Richard McElheney, both of Macon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, at 3:00 P.M. at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home.
Interment will be held at Eatonton Memorial Park in Eatonton. Elder Loyd Blair officiated.
Serving as pallbearers are his nephews.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations to the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Clifford Black, Hwy 18, Gray, Georgia 31032.
Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at Jordan Funeral Home.
