Lady Cougars Tied for First

The Piedmont Academy varsity girls soccer team was tied for first place in region play going into this week.

The Lady Cougars recorded a 2-1 win against Community Christian last week on the strength of goals from Kelly King and Aly Kinard. Jerica Jenkins had an assist.

Region games are set to be made up Thursday and Friday. The
region playoffs are set to begin May 9.

The junior varsity girls also defeated Community Christian 3-2 with Michaela Rossi scoring two goals and Hailey Burnham adding one.

The varsity boys fell to Loganville Christian 4-1 last week as Will Eckerle scored the lone goal for the Cougars.
