Cases Are Settled In Court
Several persons had their probation revoked, and others settled cases with please during a motion day and criminal arraignment in Jasper Superior Court Tuesday. Judge Hulane George presided.
The judge agreed sufficient evidence was presented to satisfy the court that Christopher Charles Farrar had violated the terms and conditions of his sentence of five years probation, which was imposed in August of 2007 for the original charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and interfering with a 911 call.
The new offense of possession of marijuana resulted in Mr. Farrar’s probation being modified to the sentence of serving the remaining three years of his original sentence in the state prison system.
