Three Charged with LSD

Nicholas Conrad Landt and Patrick K. Bryars, both of Atlanta, and James Myles Talyor of Decatur were recently arrested by officers with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The substance was lysergic acid diethylamide, also known as LSD. Mr. Bryars was also charged with possession of marijuana, less than one ounce.

According to a report from DNR, two officers came in contact with the three men while on routine patrol of the campground at Clybel Wildlife Management area. After observing the subjects rolling and passing around what they suspected to be a marijuana cigarette, the two officers approached the subjects and noticed them putting items into their pockets.

The report indicated the three men, after being asked what they were concealing, produced thin strips of paper wrapped in foil and admitted the substance was LSD. The subjects were arrested and have since posted bond and been released from the Jasper County Jail.

During the period of December 17 through 27 the DNR also arrested Sebastian Martin Buraghysky of Decatur, and Maximillian Buraghysky of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and charged them both with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

In an unrelated incident on December 27, an investigator with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested James Foster Crawford in the parking lot of Larry’s Four Way at the intersection of Hwy. 212 and Jackson Lake Road, charging him with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

According to the officer’s report, Mr Crawford, while in subject parking lot engaged in a verbal argument with James Kyle Abbott, causing disruption at a public place and placing others in reasonable fear of their safety. Mr. Crawford also drew a Steyr 30-06 caliber rifle from his vehicle and brandished it in a provoking manner toward Mr. Abbott.

Mr. Abbott was also arrested at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct.

During the same period, December 17-27, officers witih the JCSO made the following arrests:

Gary Donald Locklear, Monticello—obstruction of a law enforcement officer (three counts), disorderly conduct, cruelty to children

Melissa Lynn Coleman, Hillsboro—probation violation.
John Marshall Jones, Monticello—DUI.

Adam Ryan Bailey, Monticello—affray (fight-ing).

James Kyle Abbott, Monticello—aggressive driving.

Susan Fryer Abbott, Monticello—aggressive driving.

Blackie Lee Martin, Monticello—sexual battery, affray (fighting).

Jessica Rochelle Smith, Monticello—driving on a suspended or revoked license, no insurance, violation of change of address or name on license.

Jorge A. Colindres, Doraville—Jasper County Superior Court Bench Warrant.

Miguel Angel Hernandez, Glennville—driving without a license, no headlight, failure to stop at stop sign.

Kellyn Xiomara Garcia, Gainesville—driving unlicensed, failure to yield.

Also, during this same period, officers with the Monticello Police Department arrested Darren Mitchell Greer of Monticello because he had an outstanding warrant in Spalding County.

In addition, during this same period the Georgia State Patrol arrested Leonard Gillisspie Buckner of Columbia, S.C. and charged him with driving on a suspended or revoked license and speeding.
