Karen Joan Jackson Johnson
Karen Joan Jackson Johnson, 55, of Monticello, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.
Mrs. Johnson was born in DeKalb County. She lived in Covington for a number of years before moving to Monticello seven years ago. She was a member of Smithboro Baptist Church.
Her father, Spurgeon “Spurgie” Eugene Jackson and grandson, Samuel Williams, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, David Johnson of Monticello; children, Trina Williams, Melissa Lentini, and Melody Jones, all of Monticello and David Johnson of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Britt Williams, Jonathan Williams, Morgan Williams, Eric Petty, Dallas Wooley, Dakota Wooley, Ashley Johnson, Anthony Lentini, Sicily Lentini, Andrew Lentini, Breanna Jones, and Kaylee Jones; mother, Anne Runelle Lowe Jackson of Monticello; and brothers and sisters, Gene Jackson of Loganville, Tim Jackson of Covington, Andy Jackson of Snellville, Marsha Johnson of Ellenwood, Cindy Jackson of Monticello, and Wanda Brooks of Cumming.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Smithboro Baptist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Rev. Al Butler will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Williams, Shane Jones, Vince Lentini, Eric Johnson, Eric Petty, and Allen Parker.
The family will receive friends today, Nov. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
