Mary Nelle Murrelle Parks

Mary Nelle Murrelle Parks, 85, of Cartersville, died Friday, October 26, at the Maple Ridge Nursing Home in Cartersville.

Mary Nelle Parks was born in Social Circle to the late René David Murrelle and Ida May Doster Murrelle. She was a member of the Haygood Memorial Methodist Church in Atlanta. Her hobbies included ballroom dancing. Before retirement, she worked for Sears Roebuck & Company in Atlanta.

Survivors include her sons, Richard A. Parks, Jr. of Snellville, David R. Parks of Woodstock, and Paul A. Parks of Acworth; grandchildren, Colleen Parks, Matthew Parks, Angela Parks, and Kasey Parks, and former husband, Richard A. Parks, Sr. of Atlanta.

A graveside service was held at Tuesday, Oct. 30, at West View Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Carter officiated.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
