Mary Jane Morton

Funeral services for Mary Jane Morton of Palm Coast, Fla. were held Saturday, Jan. 6 in the chapel of Smith & Sons Funeral Home with burial in South View Cemetery. Rev. W.B. Card officiated.
Mrs. Morton was born in Monticello on September 10, 1936 to the late Joe Shy and the late Essie Johnson.

In addition to her parents, a sister, Minnie Johnson, a brother, Harvey Lee Shy, and a son, Anthony Morton, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her companion of 35 years, John Turner; sons, Lindsey Morton of Atlanta and Terry Morton of Florida; daughters, JoAnn Verdell and Katherine Morton of Florida, and Tracy Morton Bell of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral arrangements were made by Lohman Funeral Home of Palm Coast, Fla. and Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
