Man Charged with Kidnapping
David Allen Archer of a Mansfield address was charged with kidnapping last Friday after being involved in an automobile accident on Liberty Church Road.

The victim stated that he felt in fear of his life if he refused to drive the offender home and that he felt that there was a gun or other weapon in the pocket because of the way Mr. Archer was pointing it at him when he made his demands.
Mr. Archer was later apprehended at his place of residence, at which time he was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, stop sign violation and possession of drug related objects.
Also, after running a check on the offender through the Georgia Crime Investigation Center, it was discovered that a warrant was outstanding on him for child support charges and that his license was suspended.
