Martha Key Lindsey
Martha Key Lindsey, 81, of Mansfield, died Sunday, Dec. 31 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2 in the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Reese officiated.
She was born in Jasper County to the late Ledoza Hunter Key and Annie Kate Simpson Key. She was a member of Mount Zion Christian Church in Jasper County.
Before retirement, she worked as a purchasing agent for the Department of Defense for 33 years. After retirement, she was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Alvin Vincent Lindsey; daughter, Barbara Jo Lindsey; and sister, Katherine Key Mowers, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughters, John Key Lindsey, Frankie L. Lindsey, and Martha Christine Lindsey, all of Mansfield; grandchildren and spouse, Elinor L. and Phillip Strouth and Loyd Vincent Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Madline Elizabeth Hill, Liah Christine Strouth, Amelia Morgan Strouth, and Preslee Mae Strouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were John Lindsey, Vincent Lindsey, Phillip Strouth, John Paul Hill, Earl Browning, and Dennis Taylor.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
