Jimmy Earl “Bay” Jacobs
Funeral services for Jimmy Earl “Bay” Jacobs, 50, were held Monday, Nov. 27 at Springfield Baptist Church with burial in South View Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Horton officiated.
He died Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Mr. Jacobs was born December 11, 1955 in Shady Dale to Gladys Hurt Jacobs and the late Tommie Lee Jacobs.
“Bay” was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and had retired from the Georgia Pacific Corporation in Monticello. He was an avid football and racing fan.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his grandmother, Carrie Little of Atlanta; sons, Radregas Jacobs, Tremain Jacobs, and Carlos Manning; brother, Kenneth Jacobs, all of Monticello; nine grandchildren, Morgan, Mondrez, Marquariuz, Xavier, Janee, Treuana, Alexis, Carlan, and Kaden; devoted friend, Ernest Benton; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
