Jordans Donate Sound System

Jimmy Jordan and his brother, Steve Jordan along with their families have donated a state-of-the-art wireless public address system for Rose Bowl field in memory of their father, Glover Jordan.

The senior Mr. Jordan died this year. He was honored last year for being the ultimate Purple Hurricane fan and supporter. For years he was the voice of Hurricane football and basketball when the games were broadcast on the radio. He also wrote game stories for this newspaper and announced games at the field.

The new sound system was used for announcing Friday night’s game when the Monticello Hurricanes defeated the Putnam County War Eagles, 26-12.
