Frances Swanson

Frances Elizabeth Wyatt Swanson, 81, of Monticello, died Thursday, August 31, at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson.
Frances Swanson was born in the Machen community of Jasper County. Her parents were the late Jack Quintella Wyatt and Mamie Kate Shepherd Wyatt.

She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Shady Dale. Frances Swanson retired as a coding clerk for the Cigna Life Insurance Company after 35 years of service. She moved back to Jasper County 25 years ago after living in Hartford, Conn. Her brother, Andrew Wyatt, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence Alfred “Larry” Swanson of Monticello and many friends.

A graveside service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Dale, with the Rev. Ed Westbrook officiating.

The family suggests memorials to the Providence Baptist Church, PO Box 15, Shady Dale, Ga. 31085.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
