Marcia Harrison

Marcia Daniels Harrison, 65, of Turtle Cove, died Tuesday, August 1, at her residence.

Ms. Harrison was a native of Lawrence, Kansas. Her mother was the late Lyda James Robinson. She moved to Jasper County nine years ago after living in Ellenwood for a number of years. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Turtle Cove Property Owners Association after retiring with 20 years service from the S.P. Richards Company. She was a member of the Piedmont Academy Grandparents’ Club.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joi Harrison Mitchell and sister, Beverly Middleton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, at 11 a.m. at the Monticello Presbyterian Church, with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. The Rev. Phillip Dennis will officiate.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Mike Hauther of Monticello; son and daughter-in-law, Bo and Dana Harrison of Locust Grove and daughter, Sandi Harrison of Covington; grandchildren, Zachary Hauther, Amanda Hauther, Tori Harrison, and Tyler Harrison; father and step-mother, Alvin and Dorothy Daniels of Lawrence, Kansas; and brother, Rodney Robinson of Milwaukee, Wisc.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today, Aug. 3, at Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers to the Piedmont Academy Science Lab, c/o Dr. Michael Rossi, PO Box 231, Monticello, Ga. 31064.

Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
