Ralph Goolsby
Funeral services for Ralph “Peg” Goolsby are planned for today, July 27 at Concord Primitive Baptist Church in Monticello beginning at 2 p.m. Elder H.G. Terry will officiate.
He died Friday, July 21.
Mr. Goolsby was born September 3, 1933 in Jasper County to the late Willie D. and Florence Goolsby.
He joined The Faith Temple Holiness Church at an early age and was educated at the Jasper County Training School. He was employed for 25 years at Bill Bunches Lumber Company in Jackson. He was a Mason at Lodge #166 for four years. He also lived in Macon.
Five brothers preceded him in death, Ray, Roy, Herman, Eddie, and Glover Goolsby.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Florence Little of Macon and JoAnne White of Covington; grandsons, Clifford J. White and Raynard Little; one great-granddaughter; step-son, Terry Willie of Monticello; two brothers, Willie Goolsby and Henry Goolsby, both of Macon; three goddaughters; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Smtih & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
