Steve Davis

Funeral services for Steve “Booty” Davis, 48, were held Monday, June 19 at St. James A.M.E. Church with burial in Smith-Thomas Cemetery. The Rev. Donna Marie Calix officiated.
He died June 15.

Mr. Davis was born September 25, 1957 to Dorothy Faye Davis in Monticello where he received his formal education by graduating from Monticello High School in 1975.

He was employed by Dexter Axle Corporation for 25 years.

A sister, Linda Sue Davis-Sirmon, preceded him in death.

In addition to his mother, survivors his wife, Cynthia Brown Davis of Monticello; three sons, Steven Quinton Davis, Terry Durand Brown, Adrain Jamaal Brown, all of Monticello; two daughters, Sharonda Latrell Davis of Warner Robins, and Meyuanna Kantrez Davis of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Vevelyn Davis of Monticello and Margaret Davis-Birt of Decatur; brother, Stanley Keith Davis, Sr.; aunts, Fannie Glawson and Reva Standifer, all of Monticello; mother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were his Dexter Axle Friends and flower bearers were Class of 1975 graduates.
Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
