Laura Bell Pearson

Funeral services for Laura Bell Pearson, 86, will be held June 14 at St. James A.M.E. Church with burial to follow in South View Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Green, Sr. officiated.
She died June 8.

Mrs. Pearson was born August 14, 1919 to the late Jessie and Alice Appling. She attended school in Jones County but later made her home in Jasper County after marriage to Aubrey Willie Pearson.
She was a member of Cross Road A.M.E. Church where she was an active member until her health began to limit her activities.

Her husband, three sisters, and two brothers, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Virginia Stinchcomb of Atlanta; three granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Addie Joe Watkins of South Bend, In.; half-brother, Curtis Cochran of Detroit, Mi.; one brother-in-law; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
