Hurricane Track Begins March 14

The Jasper County High School track teams are preparing for the 2005-2006 season that begins Tuesday, March 14 at Jackson High School.

The boy’s track team will be coached by third year head coach Robert Ingram. Currently his roster includes 19 participants, mostly underclassmen, but between now and the first meet that number could increase, he said.

“We’ll have a young group of guys but its also a diverse group,” said Coach Ingram.

The head coach is pleased with the growth of the track program. When he took over three years ago, Coach Ingram remembers having only three guys show an initial interest. The numbers are six times that now.
