Man Arrested for Molestation
An arrest warrant was issued last Friday, Jan. 20, for Paul Joseph Williamson of Newborn, charging him with aggravated child molestation.
Since then Mr. Williamson has been arrested and is incarcerated in Tennessee. According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, they received information as to where Mr. Willamson was and arranged for the authorities there to pick him up. The JCSO is in the process of arranging extradition of the suspect, and have 10 days to pick him up after he agrees to extradition.
The victim was a nine-year-old male.
In other crime related information, the JCSO reports the following arrests for the period January 16 through 23:
•Bridgette Nicole Greene—Monticello, theft by conversion.
•Thomas Marion Lowe—Monticello, battery.
•Jeffery Alan Custer-Monticello, Probate Court Bench Warrant.
•Isaiah Ross—Ft. Meyers, Fla., Probate Court Bench Warrant.
•Quincy Amos Bogan—Shady Dale, hold for warrant in Baldwin Co.
Also, during the same period, deputies with the JCSO served six warrants and 11 civil processes. They conducted six traffic stops resulting in six warnings and one citation, and responded to 120 calls for service as follows:
•Sixteen activated alarm, twelve subject needs officer, nine suspicious person/vehicle, nine traffic accident, seven juvenile complaint.
•Five each, dog complaint, theft, missing person; four each, vandalism, transport.
•Three each, domestic, livestock/carcass in roadway, discharge firearms, loud music/noise, threatening/harassing phone calls, road hazard, 911 hang-up.
•Two each, assist motorist/keys, assist motorist/other, assist EMS, death investigation, deliver emergency message, argument, identify fraud/theft.
•One each, fight, prowler, burglary, speeding auto, escort, 4-wheeler complaint, fireworks, trouble unknown, abandoned vehicle.
