Nina Andrews
Nina L. Andrews of Lawrenceville died Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Mrs. Andrews lived in the South Carolina low country for more than 40 years. She was born in Trussville, Ala. and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School. She continued her education while employed as a civil service employee at the Camp Lejeune, U.S.M.C. base, located in Jacksonville, N.C. She was married to the late Maj. Clifton B. Andrews and was a homemaker and mother of four children.
Survivors include her daughters, C. D. “Dino” Hicks of Anderson, S.C., Debra Andrews Hopkins and son-in-law Terry Hopkins, of Monticello; sons Tracy A. Andrews of Port Royal, S.C. and Scott D. Andrews of Lawrenceville; three grandchildren Richard A. Hicks of Anderson, S.C., Clifton W. Hicks of Columbia, S.C., and Morgan D. Andrews of Buford; a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle E. Hicks of Lubbock, Tex.
Also, four sisters, Mary E. Stauffer of Tampa, Fla., Martha Jacob of Jacksonville, N.C., Flora Fuller and Verdie Channell, both of Trussville, Ala., and two brothers Sherron T. Liles and Tom Liles, both of Argo, Ala.
Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Birdie Liles, brothers, Edward Liles, Johnny D. Liles, and Samuel Liles.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, at 6 p.m. at the O’ Bryant Chapel Funeral Homes, 34550 Hwy 43, Thomasville, Ala. (334-636-4456).
The memorial service is Friday, January 6, at 2 p.m. with interment following at Bassett Creek Baptist Cemetery in Fulton, Ala.
