Gerald R. Needham
Gerald Reynold Needham, 68, of Monticello, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at his home.
Mr. Needham was born in Boston, Mass. His father was the late Everett Needham. He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. An avid deer hunter, Gerry Needham moved to Monticello three and a half years ago after hunting in Jasper County for over 30 years. His love of the out-of-doors, included gardening. Before retirement, he was a mechanic for Delta Airlines.
His son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kathy Needham, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Twining Needham of Monticello; mother, Elizabeth Hewson Needham of Chelmsford, Mass.; children and spouses, Gerry and Gale Needham, Jr. of Bedford, N.H., Mike and Kathy Needham of New Hampshire, Alex and Cindy Simon of Molena, Debbie and Doug Pellowe of New Durham, N.H. and Lucretia and Jeff Kempson of Zebulon.
Also, grandchildren, Mike Needham, Jr., David Needham, Dayna Kempson, Toby Kempson, Josh Simon, Brian Simon, Jessie Simon, Jason Simon, Brian Needham and Kimberly Needham; great-grandchild, Landen Kemp-son; brother, Donny Needham of Chelmsford, Mass. and sisters and brother-in-law, Patty and Ed Cregg of Lowell, Mass., and Jane Pelland of Shirley, Mass.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home with Dr. John Brown officiated.
Funeral services was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at St. Anne’s Church in North Billeric, Mass, with burial in The Green Cemetery in Carlisle, Mass., with the Rev. Peggy Howell officiated.
Pallbearers were Gerry Needham, Jr., Michael Needham, Alex Simon, Donny Needham, Jeff Kempson, Doug Pellowe and Edward Cregg.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
