Eddie E. Boykin, Jr.

Funeral services for Eddie Edward Boykin, Jr., 54, were held December 11 at Sardis C.M.E. Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Keith Wilks officiated.
He died December 6.

Mr. Boykin was born July 31, 1951 to the late Eddie, Sr. and Jewell Boykin. He joined Sardis C.M.E. Church at early age and graduated from the Jasper County School System in 1969.
Mr. Boykin had a passion for driving.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie E. Boykin, III of Fort Valley and Derrick Coleman of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Natilyn E. Sofola of Stockbridge; stepdaughter, Edna Butler of Springhill, Md.; grandchildren, Jadarien Boykin, Jola and Adae Sofola; sister, Barbara Johnson of Monticello; two brothers, Calvin Boykin and Andre Boykin, both of Monticello; uncle, Calvin Gordon of Monticello; aunts, Lisborn Bowman, Helen Trotter, both of Fort Myers, Fla., and Rebecca Hughey of Cleveland, Oh.; nieces, Tannette, Kaybrina, Shaybrina, Jewell and Joycelyn; nephew, Carlton; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pall bearers and flower girls were members of the Class of 1969 including Louisianna Henderson and Ella J. Heath.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
