Clelia Eunice Sands

Funeral services for Clelia Eunice Sands, 54, were held December 10 at Sardis C.M.E. Church with burial in the church cemetery. Evangelist Mary Taylor officiated.
She died December 4.

Mrs. Sands was born May 2, 1951 in Machen to the late Clelia Odessa Allison and Willie Frank Sanders. She was educated in the Jasper County School System and joined Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Monticello before moving her membership to Christian Fellowship in Atlanta.

She was married to Charlie C. Sands for 35 years and together they had three daughters. She was known for having an open door and a listening ear.
A sister, Dorothy Allison and a brother, Raymond Allison, preceded her in death.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughters, Katrina Warren, LaSidra Sands, and Senitra Sands; seven grandchildren; sister, Lynn Benton; brothers, Bobby Bogan, Willie F. Sanders, Jr., Haron Allison, J.D. Sanders, Walter Tuggle, Benjamin Whitening, and James Lawrence; aunt, Nancy Allison; uncle, Charles Allison, Jr.; mother-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Flower girls and pall bearers were from the Class of 1969.
Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
