Jerry Lee Lewis
Funeral services for Jerry Lee Lewis, 43, were held January 24 at Greater High Hope Christian Center with burial in Brown Chapel C.M.E. Church cemetery in Eatonton. The Rev. Dexter Lamar officiated.
Mr. Lewis died January 17.
Mr. Lewis was born April 22, 1959 to Vertie Mae Lewis and the late Lonnie Lewis in Putnam County. He graduated from Putnam County High School and was a member of Brown Chapel Church. He was known for his love of hunting, fishing and his sense of humor.
He married the former Barbara Jackson on January 20, 1989.
In addition to his mother and wife, survivors include his daughters, Tameka, Natasha and Jerrie LeAnn; three sons, Derrick, Dontavious, and DeMarion; stepson, DeAntron Shawn Gude; sister, Helen Pennamon; brothers, Lonnie Lewis, David Lewis, Marvin Lewis, and Evan Lewis; one grandson; two step grandchildren; aunts and uncle, Mrs. Minnie Mae Ingram and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Arthur Reid; three great aunts; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Putnam Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
