Amy Davis

Funeral services for Amy “Tadpole” Ruth Davis were held Sunday at St. John C.M.E. Church with burial in South View Cemetery. The Prophetess Mother A.B. Jackson officiated.
She died January 7.

Mrs. Davis was born April 19, 1931 to the late Will Burke Thomas and Willie Mae Bebee. She married the late Willie Lee Davis in May 1990 and they had four children.

She was educated in the Jasper County Training School and began working at a young age before retiring from Jasper Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Davis was a member of St. John C.M.E. Church where she served on the Usher Board.

Survivors include her children Stanley Thomas of Monticello; Elaine Thurman of Covington, Leonard Davis of Warner Robins, Delores Davis of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law; two sisters-in-law; two faithful cousins, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
