Joe Stone Davis

Joe Stone Davis, 46, of Lawrenceville, died Monday, Jan. 5, at his residence.

Mr. Davis was born in Fulton County. He lived in Norcross before moving to Lawrenceville 10 years ago. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He was a member of the Dacula Baptist Church. He worked in Public Relations for Humphries Concrete, Block & Constuction Products and part-time at Home Depot.

Survivors include his parents, Joe Davis and Bertha Stone Davis of Westminster, S.C.; favorite dog, Sydney an Australian Sheppard; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Monticello Baptist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. The Revs. Kenny Owen and Dr. Kerry Bunn officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. today, Jan. 8, at Jordan Funeral Home on Hillsboro Street in Monticello.

Pallbearers will be Charles Stone, Charles Stone Thompson, Bill Thaxton, Tim Thaxton, Jimmy McMichael, and Hollis G. Neal.

The family suggests memorials to the Monticello Baptist Church Building Fund, 334 W. Green St., Monticello, GA 31064 or the Earles Grove Baptist Church, 398 Cedar Lane Rd., Westminster, S.C. 29693.
