Henry D. Smith

Funeral services for Henry D. Smith, 58, who died August 16, were scheduled Thursday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Shady Dale. The Rev. Joe L. McKibbon was to officiate.

Mr. Smith was born September 2, 1944 to the late Jimmy Holland and the late Ida Smith McHaney. He received his education in the Jasper County School System and was employed by Hooper Trailer Sales. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include sisters, Sarah Ross of Monticello, Martha Ann Holand of Decatur; nephews, Melvin Holland, Willie Ross, Jr., both of Monticello, Derrick West of Decatur; uncles, Eddie Smithi, Jr., Jimmuy Smith, both of Monticello, and an aunt, Eloise Smith of Great Neck, N.Y.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
