Linda Wilcoxson
Funeral services for Linda Wilcoxson were held December 21 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in South View Cemetery in Jonesboro. The Rev. O.L. Blackshear officiated.
Mrs. Wilcoxson was born June 12, 1947 to the late Willie Pearl Russ Williams and Grady McClain in Panama City, Fla. In June 1988, she relocated to Atlanta to pursue new career opportunities. She was well-known in her community for her services with helping and caring for the elderly. She found joy in cooking and providing meals for those who were unable to provide for themselves.
Her husband, David Greene, and grandchild, Elijah Weaver, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Tajuana Weaver, Deidre Gude, and Melonie Moon; nine grandchildren, Fenta Weaver, Quintia Weaver, Jonathan Weaver, Vincent Payne, III, Jalen Gude, Jasmine Gude, Olivia Gude, Torreya Vines, and Kendrick Wyche; two brothers, Walter Williams and Cornelius Williams; three sisters, Janice Lane, Althea Thomas, and Gwendolyn Williams; uncle, William Campbell; aunts, Catherine Russ, Mary Bryant, and Ethel Reid; and a number of other relatives and friends.
