John Faulkner
Funeral services for John Henry Faulkner, Jr., 83, were held Monday at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Hebron Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Mock officiated.
He died January 4 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
“Preacher” Faulkner was a lifelong resident of Jasper County born to the late John Henry Faulkner, Sr. and Nellie May Estes Faulkner. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #50 F&AM. He retired as manager for the City of Monticello Water Department and previously owned and operated Faulkner Service Station for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Arlene Faulkner of Monticello; children, John Harold Faulkner of Gordon, Nell Pate and Lula Connally, both of Eatonton; and grandchildren, Nathan Jon Faulkner and Elizabeth Nell Connally.
Pallbearers were Leslie Evans, Earl Carden, Jr., Robert Carden, Nathan Jon Faulkner, Charlie Pate and David Wease.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
