Isaac Asbury Roper
Isaac Asbury Roper, 66, died Saturday December 7, at the Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville.
Mr. Roper was a native of Franklin, NC, and moved to Monticello some 50 years ago. He worked as a car mechanic at Pete’s Gulf Station for a number of years. His wife, Marjorie Ann Cargiile Roper preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Renee Cochran of Forsyth, Anthony Roper of Norfolk, VA, Mickey and Jennifer Roper both of Monticello; grandchildren Shannon Mason, Steven Mason, Lacee Cochran, Shauna Hilderbrand, Angie Roper, Tony Roper, Damon Green, and Jazzmine Green; great-grandchild Chelsea Mason; brother Odean Roper of NC; and sisters Iona Cargile of Covington, Annie Mae Bradely of Jackson and Christine Mason of Franklin, NC.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesady December 10 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Joran Funeral Home. Burial in Williams-Payne Cemetary. The Rev. Charles Roper officiated.
