Lanette McElheney Power

Lanette McElheney Power, 64, lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Thursday December 5 at Porsbridge Hospice in Conyers.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday December 7. at the chapel of the Monticello First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in West View Cemetary. The Rev. David Brackman will officiate.
Her parents were the late William Ralph McElheney and Martha Goodman McElheney. She was a member of Monticello First United Methodist Church. She retired from the Scripto Company as a warehouse supervisor, owned the Gift Gallery Store in Monticello. She also worked for Jasper Memorial Hospital and as a paraprofessional for the Jasper County Middle School.
She is survived by her sons Gene Douglas Power, Jr., and William Barry Power both of Monticello, a brother James M. McElheney of Charlotte, NC; and sisters Carol McElheney of Monticello and Luanne Wedd of Sautee.
Lamar Crawley, Jack Long, Mac Long, Jimmy McElheney and Mike King have been named as pall bearers.
The family suggests memorials to the Monticello First United Methodist Church or the Jasper County Library.
Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
