Viola Smith

Funeral services for Viola S. Smith, 86, of Carey Lane, were held May 25 in the Jeffersonville Baptist Church with burial in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Angus Hart officiated.
She died May 23 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Jasper County born to the late Jay and Kate Stone Smith. She lived most of her life in Twiggs County and was the widow of Ralph Smith, Sr. She was a retired U.S. Post Office clerk and a member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Elaine S. Greene of Gordon, Kathy S. Coody of Danville and Ralph “Bubba” Smith, Jr. of Jefferson-ville; sisters, Sara Mae Harvey of Conyers, and Fleetie McMullin of Monticello; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the donors favorite charity.

Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville was in charge of arrangements.
