JV Cougar Ladies Earn Two Victories

The Piedmont Academy junior varsity fast-pitch softball team earned a couple of easy victories Monday against Thomas Jefferson.

The Lady Cougars earned 19-3 and 20-6 wins to improve their overall record to 9-2. Carrie Tucker was the winning pitcher in the opener with Kirstie Lewis working the final inning.

Brittany Wilson had three RBIs in the opener while Tucker, Lewis and Emily Beckham each scored three runs.

Lewis earned the win in the second contest with Beckham closing the game out. Jennifer Mobley was 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs.
Tucker finished 2-for-3 with a double and home run.

The Piedmont JV softball team was scheduled to close out the regular season Wednesday against Twiggs.
