Mrs. Lura Marie Jackson

Mrs. Lura Marie Jackson, 89, of Macon, died Tuesday, November 25.

Funeral services were scheduled Friday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hart’s Mortuary with Dr. Max Hill officiating.

Mrs. Jackson was a member of Lynmore United Methodist Church of Macon where she was an active member for more than 60 years. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of the 39’ers Travel Club. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jackson, and her son, Earl Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Billy Jackson of Macon; daughter, Gayle Jackson of Hillsboro; sister, Margaret Greene of Jones County, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Hart’s Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
