Hardy Ogletree
Hardy Ogletree, 68, died Monday, Dec. 22, at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ogletree was born in Butts County. His parents were the late Miller Ogletree and Lois Pettigrew Ogletree.
He owned and operated Monticello Recapping for a number of years. He was a dairyman. Before retirement, he was a sales manager for the Destiny Mobile Home Center in Milledgeville and Taylor Mobile Homes in Moultrie.
He is survived by his fiancee, Patricia Roper Massey of Monticello; children, Mark J. Ogletree of Columbia, Tenn., Cozette Jones of Warner Robins, Jody Massey of Milledgeville, Angel Massey and JoAnn Grant of Duluth, Gwen Massey of Chief-land, Fla., and Garry Massey of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Adam Ogletree, Brooklynne Ogletree, Joseph Massey, Jade Massey, and Ali Tremblay; and great-grandchild, Alexis Massey.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 24, in the chapel at Jordan Funeral Home. Burial was in Talmadge Cemetery in Monticello. The Rev. Charles Roper officiated.
Pallbearers were Joseph Massey, Gordon Grant, Greg Cipriano, Marvin Roper, Royce Roper, and Willard Roper. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Fowler, Ron Whitton, Ronny Whitton, Ronald Tremblay, Jeff Atkinson, Greg Atkinson, Steve Kuntzelman, Kevin Carnes, Shannon Roper, Michael Roper, and Adam Roper.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
