Cynthia “Minnie” Driskell

Funeral services for Cynthia “Minnie” Anita Driskell, 43, were held December 23 at St. James A.M.E. Church with burial in South View Cemetery. The Rev. Spencer Booker officiated. She died December 19.

Mrs. Driskell was born Sept. 7, 1960 to Eddie Peacock of Ft. Myers, Fla. and the late Lizzie Mae Driskell. She was educated in the Jasper County Public School System and a longtime employee of The Place Restaurant.

She attended St. James A.M.E. Church and was known for her cleanliness and being well-groomed.
In addition to her father, survivors include three sisters, Alma Oliver, Evelyn Epps, both of Monticello, and Georgia McMillan of Gary, Indiana; brother, Phillip Driskell of Atlanta; special friend, George Nix; and a number of other family and friends.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
