Jessie Mae Alexander

Funeral services for Jessie Mae Alexander were held January 29 at Holy Nation Church in Hillsboro with burial in the church cemetery. The Bishop Anthony Q. Hall, Sr. officiated.
She died January 23.

Mrs. Alexander was born July 17, 1939 to the late Jessie Mae and Overseer Rosa Mae Braswell. In 1956, she married Roosevelt Alexander.

Survivors include her children, Denise Lenora Alexander-Hall of Miami, Fla. and Roosevelt Alexander, Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren, Sean Parks of Detroit, Darrell Alexander of Indiana, Anthony Hall, Jr., Felicia Hall, April Hall, all of Miami; four great-grandchildren; 12 brothers and sisters; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Justine Bostic, Rashad Braswell, Tony Braswell,Harold Dumas, Michael Gibson and Eddie Standifer.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
