Pat Edge

Patricia Cook Edge, 56, of Monticello, died Sunday, December 12, at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Edge was a native of Dublin, and has lived in Monticello for the past 24 years. Her parents were the late William Roy Cook and Betty Daniel Cook. She was an active choir member and Sunday school teacher at the Hillsboro Baptist Church. For the past 18 years, she was a sixth grade teacher for the Putnam County Middle School in Eatonton.

Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Leigh Edge and a sister, Vickie Cook.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Edge of Monticello; sons and daughters-in-law, Stacy and Pam Edge and Dan and Sheila Edge of Monticello; grandchildren, Chasen Edge, Baylor Edge and Timber Edge; sister, Yolonda McCarty of McDonough and a brother, Steven Roy Cook of Snellville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 15, at Hillsboro Baptist Church in Hillsboro, with burial in Fullerton Memorial Gardens in Hillsboro. The Rev. Ken Hubbard officiated.

Pallbearers are Justin McCarty, Travis McCarty, Tony Hood, Gabe Stone, Johnny Duke and Scott Wingate.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ellen Boyd, McIntosh State Bank, P.O. Box 31, Monticello, GA 31064. Jordan Funeral Home of Monticello was in charge of arrangements.
