JV ‘Canes Winless
The JV ‘Canes suffered their third loss of the season last Thursday, March 24, when they played Lamar at home. They gave up five runs in the first inning and went on to lose 12-4.
Blake West pitched the first four innings before being relieved by Will Bullard. The team committed four errors, left four runners on base and only had two hits, both by Josh Boone.
The team has only played three games so far this season because of a rain-out and a cancellation. Coach Brook Adams said, “We don’t know what’ll be done about those two games yet, whether they’ll be rescheduled or not, but in the meantime we’ll be working hard and looking for a win.”
Their next game is tomorrow, April 1, at home vs. Greene at 4:30 p.m., preceding the varsity game scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
