Local Arrests Listed

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the following arrests were made October 10 through 17:

•Benjamin Dudley, Hillsboro—burglary, forgery first degree, probation violation.

•Willie Charles Driskell, Monticello—disorderly conduct, obstruction of an officer, criminal damage to property.

•Anita Marie Middlebrooks, Monticello—false report of a crime, allowing unlicensed person to drive.

•Timothy Charles Thompson, Mansfield—cruelty to children 3rd degree, simple battery.

•Terry Earl McCullers, Monticello—simple battery.

•Artagus Manning, Monticello—holding for state pickup.

•John Andre Whidby, Jr., Monticello—hold for detention center.

•Jay Anthony Hammett, Jenkinsburg—child support.
•Roberto Lopez Martinez, Stockbridge—driving while unlicensed, speeding.

•Angel Lynn Thompson, Monticello—simple battery.

•Tracy Lawrence Trent, homeless—hold for warrant in Gwinnett Co.

•Charles Bradley Goen, Monticello—driving on a suspended license.

•Jack Eric Law, Covington, Probate Court bench warrant.

•Jimmy Lee Thomas, Monticello—public drunk.

•Dexter Eugene Smith, Monroe—Probate Court bench warrant.

•Douglas Adam Moore, Conyers—Jasper Co. Superior Court bench warrant.

•Thomas Alvin Stewart, Monticello—driving on suspended license, mirror violation.

•Leroy Daniel Peters, Eatonton—hold for warrant in Fulton Co.

•Willie Daniel Peters, Shady Dale—aggravated assault.

•Authur Doran Hunter, Monti-cello—simple battery.

Also during this period, deputies with the JCSO served 15 warrants and 18 civil processes.

They conducted 17 traffic stops resulting in 5 citations and 12 warnings, and conducted 146 calls for service as follows:

•Twenty-two subject needs officer, 12 domestics, 12 traffic accidents, 10 suspicious person/vehicle, 8 theft, 6 assist motorist/other.
•Five each, dog complaint, escort, road hazard.
•Four each, alarm, livestock/carcass in roadway, 4-wheeler complaint, loud music/noise, transport, prowler.

•Three each, burglary, assist motorist/keys, welfare check, vandalism, trespassing, argument, person refusing to leave.

•Two each, intoxicated pedestrian, extra patrol, VGCSA, threatening/harassing phone calls, abandoned vehicle.

•One each, speeding auto, intoxicated driver, fire, assault, trouble unknown, 911 hang-up.
