JCSO Announce Arrests
According to the Jasper Co. Sheriff’s Office, the following arrests were made October 24 through the 31:
•Dennis Ray Thompson, Oxford—possession of methamphetamine.
•Jerri Dale Williams, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.
•Jesus Olea, Brownsville, TX—open container, driving under the influence, license requirement violation.

•Marquis Dewjuan Jackson, Monticello—no insurance, possession of marijuana less than 1 oz, expired tag.
•Joseph Frank Lawson, Shady Dale—dumping dead dog on public property, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, theft by taking.
•Samatha Sha Cronan, Monticello—aggressive driving.
•Robert Lanis Chaisson, Jefferson—revoked bond.
Also during this period, deputies with the JCSO served 10 warrants and 62 civil processes. They conducted 15 traffic stops resulting in seven warnings and 11 citations, and responded to 125 calls for service as follows:
•Nineteen subject needs officer, 12 traffic accident, 10 activated alarm, seven assist motorist/keys.
•Five each, dog complaint, suspicious person/vehicle, assist motorist/other, fire, vandalism.
•Four each, escort, theft, welfare check.
•Three each, threatening/harassing phone calls, argument, abandoned vehicle.
•Two each, domestic, speeding auto, livestock/carcass on road, intoxicated pedestrian, assist EMS, discharge firearms, loud music/noise, lost property, 911 hang-up.
•One each, fight, burglary, extra patrol, 4-wheeler, child custody, road rage, juvenile complaint, suicide/attempt, trouble unknown, road hazard, illegal dumping/littering, transport, assist utility.
