Greene County Tigers Head to Dome

The Greene Co. Tigers earned themselves a trip to the Georgia Dome last Friday by defeating the Cook Hornets 27-6, led by Quarterback Josh Nesbitt who passed for 260 yards and two touchdowns, keeping their record a perfect 13-0.

In what looks to be shaping up to be a classic game, they will be taking on the Charlton Co. Indians from Folkston, with a record of 12-1, who were able to stop the formerly undefeated Buford Wolves last Friday, 26-21. This game is scheduled to kickoff Friday morning at 9 a.m.

In other Class AA action, two teams with 13-0 perfect records, the Grady Grey Knights of Atlanta, who defeated Macon Co. 20-0 last week, will face off against the Calhoun Yellow Jackets who defeated Fitzgerald 48-20.

Admission to the Dome on Friday or Saturday is $15 (no presale) for all day with parking at $10 or $8. Listed below is a complete schedule of games for all classifications.

Class AA: 9 a.m. and noon on Friday.
Class A: 3 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Class AAAA: 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday.
Class AAA: 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
Class AAAAA: 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The championship game in each class will be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, unless changed by mutual agreement of the schools involved and with the approval of the Georgia High School Sports Association.
