Jewell Tyler

Jewell Johnnie Holloway Tyler, 98, died Thursday, March 9, at Northlake Medical Center in Tucker.

Mrs. Tyler was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Her parents were the late John Holloway and Annie Viola Goodman Holloway. She was a member of the Monticello First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Tyler was a farmer and homemaker.

Her husband, Herman Tyler, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Bill Tyler of Destin, Fla.; grandchildren, Allan Tyler and Christie Hamilton; and great-grandchildren, Addie Tyler, Zachary Hamilton and Eliza Hamilton.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 12, at Monticello First United Methodist Church chapel, with burial in West View Cemetery. Dr. John Brown and Rev. Birch Fannin officiated.

Pallbearers were James Atkins, Jim Tyler, Mike Tyler, Mike Holloway, Tom Hilley and Chester Smith.

The family suggests memorials to Monticello First United Methodist Church, 651 College St., Monticello, Ga. 31064.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
