Sheriff’s Office Seeks Witnesses
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any possible witness or witnesses who might have observed a shooting which occurred on Jackson Lake Road just south of Cook Cutoff Road between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. It involved a red pick-up truck and a white 700 Ford boom truck.

In other crime related information, the JCSO reported the following arrests for the period March 6 through 13.
•Christopher Chicory Stone, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, seat belt violation.
•Tyrone Thurman, Monticello—no license, no insurance, no tag, defective equipment.
•Jesse Lee Ward, Monticello—driving while license is suspended or revoked.
•Andre Malaca Bostic, Monticello—disorderly conduct, parole violation.
•Thomas David Smith, Mansfield—public drunk, disorderly conduct.

•Ludie Lemont Hoffman, Forsyth—driving on a suspended or revoked license.
•Dwan D. Pennamon, Monticello—child support.
•Willie James Bostic, Macon—Superior Court bench warrant.
•Jessica Marie Fitts, Porter-dale—Superior Court bench warrant.
•Martha Faye Holloway, Newborn—Superior Court bench warrant.
•Edward Isaac McMillan, Griffin—Superior Court bench warrant.
•Dewayne Lashawn Carter, Monticello—probation violation.
•Charleston Jermaine Russell, Shady Dale—probation violation.
•Cameron Lenard Franklin, Monticello—probation violation.
•Thomas James Jackson, Leesburg—sentenced to serve 30 days in jail.
•William Harris Anderson, Jenkinsburg—hold for Rockdale/DeKalb Detention Center.
Also, during the period of March 6 through 13, deputies with the JCSO served 14 warrants and 29 civil processes and conducted 21 traffic stops resulting in eight citations and 13 warnings. In addition, deputies responded to 138 calls for service as follows:
Seventeen subject needs officer, 11 each activated alarm and suspicious person/vehicle, six dog complaint calls and five burglaries.
Nine each accident, assist motorist/other, transport; eight each assist motorist/keys, 4- wheeler complaint; four each domestic, escort, theft, assist EMS, trouble unknown.
Also, three each fire, road hazard; two each speeding auto, livestock/carcass in roadway, argument, and one each fight, prowler, subject with firearms, intoxicated driver, mental patent, missing person, juvenile complaint, discharge firearms, loud music/noise, trespassing, 911 hang-up, person refusing to leave, abandoned vehicle.
