‘Cane Golfers Lose Close One

Colton Strawn turned in the lowest score with 32 in Hurricane golf competiton last Thursday against Eastside.

Regulation play ended in a tie with both schools having a team score of 166.

The team score is derived by adding the four lowest scores together out of six possible golfers. The teams then played a playoff hole.
Everyone replayed # 9 at Turtle Cove and the teams added the four lowest scores together.

Eastside had two pars and two bogies. The ‘Canes had two pars, one bogie, and one double bogie, losing the match by one stroke. It was very exciting.

Hurricane golfers in addition to Mr. Strawn, are J.B. West, Blake West, Nick Yurevich, and Matthew Deraney.

The ‘Canes were to face Hickory Hills in Jackson yesterday, and their next match is Thursday against Oglethorpe at Sunrise golf club in Colbert.
