Ree McKinsley Blankenship

Funeral services for Ree McKinsley Blankenship, 67, of Thomaston, were held last Thursday, May 4, in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home in Thomaston, with burial in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Albert Hammond officiated.

Mr. Blankenship died Saturday, April 29, at Cartersville Medical Center.

Mr. Blankenship was born on March 17, 1939, in Eatonton, the son of Nora and the late Edward Blankenship. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Blankenship was employed with All Coast Trucking where he worked as a truck driver for two and a half years. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Deborah Blankenship of Thomaston; daughters, Penny Barnes of Alpharetta, Melissa Neese, Christy Samples and Julie Taylor, all of Thomaston, and Angie Dickerson and Lisa Massey, both of Cumming; sons, Bob Blankenship and Ronnie Blankenship, both of Thomaston; Scott Blankenship of Monticello; Ree Blankenship of Palmetto, Robert Blankenship of Stockbridge, Greg Burger of Cumming and Mark Burger of Atlanta; mother, Nora Blankenship of Thomaston; 33 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations were requested to be made to the family.
