Harry Collington Jones

Harry Collington Jones, 83, of Monticello, formerly of Harpursville, N.Y., died Monday, Sept. 4.

Mr. Jones served the country as a Gunners Mate 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Allied Signal Corporation in Syndey, N.Y. He was a long time member of Harpursville United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jones was born on August 19, 1923 in Broome County, N.Y. to the late Charles Carlyle Jones and Hilda Collington Jones.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Thurber Jones; sister, Elizabeth Jones Weber, and granddaughter, Beth Anne Jones.

Survivors include his three children and their spouses, Charles and Julianne Jones of Monticello; Thomas and Leslye Jones of Syracuse, N.Y., Ann and Hal King of Covington; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at Harpursville United Methodist Church in Harpursville, N.Y. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Harpursville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 23, Harpursville, N.Y. 13787, in memory of Harry “Bud” Jones.
