Merry Louise Pia Alparone

Merry Louise Pia Alparone, 67, of Turtle Cove, died Monday, October 9, at her residence.

Mrs. Alparone was born in San Mateo County, California to the late Louie and Amy Marie Vosti Pia. She moved to Jasper County four years ago after living in Brick, New Jersey for a number of years. She was of the Catholic faith. Before retirement, she was a CNA for a nursing home.

Survivors include her husband, Louis C. Alparone of Monticello; children, Scott Preston and Amy Baxter, both of Monticello and Mike Preston of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Daniel Baxter and James Baxter; sister, Erlene Gasperini of Felton, Nevada and sister-in-law, Ann Behling of Monticello.

A memorial service was to be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Lewallen officiating.

The family suggests memorials to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
